Nicolas Harrison is a barrister-at-law, a NSW local government code of conduct investigator, and a company director with special interests in the not-for-profit and charity sectors.
He has a longstanding commitment to community service and has served on many community-based boards and committees over the last 45 years. A lawyer with over 50 years experience in criminal jurisdiction, Nicolas is passionate about the protection of children and young people. His experience as a lawyer led him to conclude that inappropriate detention in the formative years of young people directly influences reoffending. He is a strong supporter of the Raise the Age campaign, and an advocate for the benefits of early intervention and prevention.
Nicolas is committed to good corporate governance. He has received international recognition for his governance practices, with an emphasis on ethical behaviour and communication.
