At CASPA we embrace every opportunity to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the importance of inclusivity and empowerment for people with disabilities.
In honour of International Day of People with Disability, we hosted the Empowering Ability event in Casino, NSW on December 3. The day provided a meaningful platform to engage with the community and highlight the remarkable contributions and potential of people living with disabilities.
The event was a vibrant celebration, with activities like snow globe making, tie-dye T-shirt creating, and plant pot painting bringing people together. Attendees enjoyed live performances from the Little Creek Band and REDinc, as well as refreshments from Windara Café and Hawaiian shaved ice by Wonder Snow Northern Rivers.
Aligned with this year’s theme of amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future, the event served as more than a celebration. It was a call to action for the community to support a future where everyone feels seen, valued, and included.
International Day of People with Disability underscores the importance of CASPA’s mission to inspire, empower, and connect, ensuring people with disabilities have access to the opportunities and support they deserve. We are driven to work together to continue breaking down barriers and strive for a more accessible and inclusive society.
