Celebrating our female leaders this International Women’s Day

At CASPA, we’re using International Women’s Day as an opportunity to pause and celebrate the women who lead with courage and compassion across our organisation. In a sector shaped by strong female voices, we are proud that 59% of our workforce identifies as women, including two-thirds of our executive team.

Across Australia, gender equality is progressing, but unevenly. Updated data shows:

These are signs of momentum, but also reminders that equality is ongoing work. We need to continue to advocate and lift women up to eradicate the gender wage gap.

CASPA is committed to continuing to prioritise equitable pathways for women through:

  • - Structured recruitment and transparent salary structures

  • - Flexible working options

  • - Clear reporting mechanisms for discrimination

  • - Actively encouraging training, development and progression

  • - Embedding trauma-informed, culturally safe leadership practices

More impactful than any policy are the women leaders who embody these values every day. We asked four of these leaders to share their reflections and advice for young women aspiring to lead.

We are proud of the women who lead in every part of CASPA, and the culture all our leaders continue to build, where gender equality is lived every day, not just celebrated once a year.
