NDIS stories: Julia

A young woman with down syndrome, wearing a yellow sweater, sits comfortably using a tablet in a warm, lounge room setting

Our NDIS team recently extended their reach to a remote Northern Territory community, located five hours from the nearest city, to provide vital information about the NDIS and CASPA’s Support Coordination services.

Among those who connected with us was Julia*, a local community member who chose CASPA for her Support Coordination. Since joining CASPA, Julia’s NDIS supports have expanded significantly, leading to remarkable improvements in her quality of life.

With her new supports in place, Julia now has access to medical appointments, hydrotherapy, shopping, hair appointments, and social outings. These activities have positively impacted both her physical and mental wellbeing, empowering her to embrace greater independence and enjoy a fuller life.

At CASPA, we are incredibly proud of Julia’s achievements and are committed to continuing our support as she thrives. Stories like Julia’s remind us of the transformative power of connection and advocacy no matter how remote the community.
