For Aurora*, joining CASPA’s Hammers 4 Hope team marks an exciting step toward her future. This opportunity isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to learn hands-on skills, stay engaged in education, and take meaningful strides toward independence. Aurora’s enthusiasm and dedication have already set her on a promising path, and we’re thrilled to support her as she builds her future.
Aurora’s journey with Hammers 4 Hope began after a previous team member transitioned into a new apprenticeship. Scotty and Dillon from the Hammers 4 Hope team carefully considered candidates for the open position, and Aurora stood out as the perfect fit. Her participation in a “Try a Trade” program and her focus on schooling made her an ideal choice.
To maintain her place on the team, Aurora will continue her education while gaining real-world experience. She’ll split her time between school, the trade program, and her new role as a trainee on the Hammers 4 Hope team one day a week. This unique setup not only supports her learning but could also earn her credit toward her Year 12 qualifications.
This milestone is an exciting development for Aurora and CASPA’s education team, who are working to create pathways for young people to thrive. By piloting this program, Aurora is paving the way for others in CASPA’s care to pursue both education and employment, opening doors to brighter futures.
We can’t wait to see all that Aurora achieves and how Hammers 4 Hope continues to transform the lives of young people in our care.
