What is emergency care?

When there are concerns for a young person’s immediate safety, they need somewhere safe to stay, and quickly. It can happen at any time, and emergency carers need to be ready to take a placement at short notice, after hours and on the weekend.

Emergency care can be for just one night, or may be extended up to a month. The limited time of this type of care makes it a great option if you want to support vulnerable young people and their families, but can’t commit to long-term placements.

It is truly wonderful and heartwarming to provide foster care and support for these two young boys, showing them love, stability, and guidance during this crucial time in their lives.
