Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy focuses on helping you participate in the activities and daily life tasks that are meaningful to you. This could include playing, learning, cooking for yourself, socialising, enjoying hobbies, or managing and caring for your home.

If you want to become more independent and work towards your goals, CASPA’s occupational therapists can help with direct therapy, assistive technology and changes to your environment. We can meet you at our sensory clinic, in a learning environment such as your school, or remotely using Telehealth.

We can help you

  • Manage sensory processing to help you feel less overwhelmed
  • Help you to better pay attention, socialise or engage and play
  • Build your ability to read emotions and regulate your responses
  • Learn school readiness skills like socialising, working with routines, coping with change and focusing
  • Learn self-care skills like feeding, dressing and toileting
  • Develop your fine and gross motor skills including handwriting and posture
