Alaia's Place: Supporting family restoration

A mum and dad laugh and play with their three daughters on the floor in a living room setting.

At CASPA, family restoration is a cornerstone of our work. We are dedicated to providing safe and nurturing spaces where families can reconnect, rebuild relationships, and create positive memories. Alaia’s Place, a welcoming home-like setting, was established to offer parents and children a safe space to work towards restoration in an environment designed for connection and growth.

Unlike traditional meeting spots such as public parks, Alaia’s Place provides a private, comfortable space where families can focus on bonding. Parents have the opportunity to demonstrate essential day-to-day skills like preparing meals, helping with homework, and creating special moments through shared activities, including sleepovers. This supportive environment allows families to rebuild trust and nurture their relationships without the distractions of a busy public setting.

The success of Alaia’s Place inspired the opening of a second Family Services house in Coffs Harbour. This expansion ensures that even more families on the NSW Far North Coast can access restoration services, fostering stronger outcomes for children and their parents.

Running these facilities is a labour of love and commitment. CASPA is dedicated to supporting families in need, and proud to fund these programs independently, without government assistance. The community plays an essential role in these efforts, and we are deeply grateful to partners like Bunnings Coffs Harbour for their generous contributions in helping us bring this vision to life.

In addition to restoration services, Alaia’s Place in Coffs Harbour is available to other organisations as a venue for family connections and meetings. If you’d like to learn more about bookings and fees, please contact us on 1300 227 722.

Together, we’re creating opportunities for families to heal and thrive, one step at a time.
